Corbett National Park: Forest officials in Uttarakhand have issued a shoot at sight order for a tiger in the Corbett Tiger Reserve after it allegedly killed three women in the last one month.

Villagers living in Sunderkhal region, that encroaches on forest land, staged a protest outside the park demanding the tiger be killed.

After the authorities assured that the tiger would be killed in the next 48 hours that the villagers finally relented.

However, conservationists have demanded that the tiger be tranquilized instead. But the park has no veterinary doctor.
