Shopian attack: The security forces have launched a search operation in the area
Srinagar: A policeman was killed after terrorists hurled a grenade and fired at a police station in south Kashmir's Shopian this morning. The injured policeman was taken to a hospital, where he died during treatment.
The terrorists escaped in the nearby forest after the attack, the police said. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.
"Terrorists in Shopian fired indiscriminately at the police station. The attack was repulsed by alert jawans," a police spokesman said.
