Jammu:
In a fresh development in the Shopian rape and murder case, the Jammu and Kashmir government sacked the state's Additional Advocate General on Thursday evening.
The development came shortly after the hearing of the bail application of two policemen in connection with the case.
Sources have told NDTV that the Jammu and Kashmir government was unhappy with the advocate for not effectively arguing the case, resulting in denial of bail to the arrested cops.
The hearing will come up again on Friday morning. Four policemen, including former SP of Shopian and his deputy, are in custody for last 40 days for allegedly destroying evidence.
