Ludhiana:
Six inmates of a juvenile home today escaped after beating up two wardens, police said.
They beat up the two wardens, tied them with ropes and jumped across the walls of the juvenile home, police said.
"These boys asked a warden to fetch water and pounced upon him as he came back and tied him with ropes in a corner, Guebaksh Kaur, incharge of the juvenile home said.
Another warden, who rushed to the spot on hearing the commotion, was also beaten up and tied, she added.
All the six juveniles were involved in serious criminal cases, including murder and attempt to murder, police said.
They have been identified and a fresh case has been registered against them, police added.
