Nagpur:
Six Maoists were killed in an encounter with police near Etapalli tehsil in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra today.
The encounter was still on and police have so far recovered bodies of six Maoists clad in uniforms, police said.
They have also recovered one 303 carbine, three 12 bore rifles and some cartridges from the spot.
The C-60 battalion of Gadchiroli district police was fired upon by a group of ultras and the police retaliated, police said, quoting preliminary reports reaching the district headquarters.
