Jammu: A day after picking up five persons for questioning, Jammu police have prepared a sketch of the suspected email sender from Kishtwar district. A massive search operation to track down the suspect has been launched.
As per the description provided by the detained persons including Masood Aziz, the owner of the cyber cafe from where the mail was sent, the suspect is a young boy aged 17-18 years. "We are hopeful of catching the suspect soon", Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda, said.
The sketch is likely to be released by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the blast at the Delhi High Court in which 13 people have died.
Investigators had traced the HuJI email claiming responsibility for the blast outside the Delhi High Court to a cyber cafe in Kishtwar district of Jammu division.
Besides the cafe owner, the other detained persons are the shop owner's brother Majid and their help Ashwani besides Imran and Ashiq Hussain.
Imran and Ashiq were using computer terminals in two other cabins at the time when the email was sent from the terminal adjacent to theirs, police said.
A team of the NIA and experts from Hyderabad are in Kishtwar to probe the email link with the Delhi blast.
Police will be conducting raids at several places in the state today to track down the suspected email sender.
The cafe has been sealed and policemen have been deputed outside the shop in Kishtwar town.
An email allegedly from HuJI, had on Wednesday, claimed responsibility for the blast.
"We own responsibility of the blast at the High Court, Delhi. Our demand is that Afzal Guru's death sentence should be repealed immediately as we would target major High Courts and the Supreme Court of India," the HuJI email had said.
