New Delhi: Human Resource Development or HRD Minister Smriti Irani congratulated the toppers of Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE Class XII examinations, applauding them for putting in hard work and making their families proud.
Hailing the performance of the subject toppers, she said "examinations, marks, values and character in life are the means to move forward and achieve progress".
"I applaud those who have worked hard and have got good results which make them and their families proud," the minister said in her message.
The results, which were declared during the week separately for different zones, saw girls faring much better than boys, with the overall countrywide pass percentage standing at 82.66 per cent.
In her message, the minister said, "I wish all the students success in achieving their dreams in whatever walk of life they find joy and fulfilment and thereby contribute to healthy, harmonious society and strong nation".
