Ahead of her visit to the North East tomorrow, HRD Minister Smriti Irani held consultation with the district collectors of the region on the new national education policy.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development tweeted:
The Minister would be travelling to Agartala tomorrow during which she is scheduled to hold deliberations with the state officials on the new policy.
Ms Irani had earlier announced that the drafting of the new education policy would be completed by December this year.
As part of her exhaustive consultation process with the states, Ms Irani visited Kolkata on September 11, where she interacted with officials from the eastern state.
She is scheduled to visit regions across the country during the month and consult different stakeholders to finalise the broader contours of the policy.
