Jamshedpur:
Eighteen-year-old son of Income Tax inspector AK Manjhi, involved in the raids against Koda and his associates, was attacked in Jamshedpur on Thursday.
The boy was assaulted by three men on Thursday evening while returning from his tuition class.
The boy has been admitted in a hospital after the incident.
Sources say it could be a case of intimidation. The official is likely to meet Jharkhand Governor and ask for more security.
PTI adds:The police said Abhisekh Majhi, son of I-T inspector A K Majhi, was returning home when the unidentified men, apparently waiting for him, attacked him with stones near Chenab Road under Sakchi police station.
Even after Abhishek fell down, they continued to stone him and fled after snatching his mobile phone, the sources said.
Abhishek, who suffered head injuries, was admitted to Tata Main Hospital.
Asked to comment on the motive behind the attack, a senior police officer, however, said prima facie it did not appear to have any link with senior Majhi's involvement in the investigation against Koda.
