New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi was on Friday discharged from Ganga Ram Hospital here after undergoing a minor medical procedure, the hospital authorities said.
"Sonia Gandhi who was re-admitted on 17th August 2016 for a pre-planned evaluation and a minor procedure to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has been discharged from the hospital in stable condition today," a hospital statement said.
According to S P Byotra, Vice Chairman (Board of Management), Ganga Ram Hospital, the minor medical procedure was performed successfully on Mrs Gandhi and she is showing good signs of recovery.
"She has been advised rest, rehabilitation and further treatment," said the statement.
Earlier this month, Mrs Gandhi had spent 11 days at the same hospital undergoing treatment for dehydration and a shoulder injury.
She was re-admitted to the hospital on Wednesday and discharged on Friday.
