Congress president Sonia Gandhi today extended her greetings to people on the occassion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism Guru Nanak Dev.
"Sonia Gandhi has expressed hope that Guru Nanak Dev ji's message of compassion and humanity will continue to guide our lives and this holy occasion of Guru Purab on Kartik Purnima will continue to foster tolerance and coexistence forever," read a statement from the Congress office.
