New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today condemned the terror attack in Brussels, insisting such cowardly acts could never defeat the resolve of the world community to fight terrorism in all its manifestations.

Expressing shock over the blasts, she hoped and prayed that the casualty figures and number of injured remained low and said the Congress as indeed the entire country stood with the people of Belgium in this hour of crisis.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi too condemned the attacks.

"Strongly condemn the attacks in Brussels. My thoughts & prayers are with the families of the victims and the people of Belgium," he tweeted.
