Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who is admitted to a hospital here for an infection in her lower respiratory tract, is feeling better, the hospital said today.
"Mrs. Gandhi is feeling better and her condition is stable. She today underwent breathing exercises without any problem," a doctor at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said in a statement.
Mrs. Gandhi was admitted under the care of Arup Kumar Basu, senior consultant and chairman of respiratory medicine. He is leading a team of doctors who are closely monitoring the Congress chief.
Sonia Gandhi's medication will continue until she is discharged from the hospital.
"She will remain under observation of the doctors until we get a proper sign of her recovery," the doctor said.
According to doctors, the problem is quite common during winter.
