Sopore:
Twenty eight-year-old Anjum Rashid has allegedly died in police custody in Kashmir's Sopore town. He was picked up by the police on Saturday for questioning in connection with the killing of a civilian in the area.
Sources say Rashid died due to alleged torture in police custody, but cops maintain that he died of a heart attack. A medical board has been constituted to look into the matter.
There is a curfew-like situation in Sopore town after this incident. Officials said that if any policeman was found to be involved in this heinous act, strict action would be taken against him.
