SP releases manifesto; focus on farmers
Lucknow:

In the run up to the elections, the Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav released its manifesto on Saturday. Party general secretary Amar Singh and Sanjay Dutt accompanied him.

Speaking on the occasion, Mulayam said that in the manifesto, the party has focused on providing special facilities for farmers.

He also said, "We will try to improve relations with Bangladesh and Pakistan as better relations with neighbours are key to tackling terror. We will also tackle unemployment with small and medium self-employment schemes."

Mulayam also hit out at the Congress, saying it had insulted him and his party. He said had the Congress fought together with the Samajwadi Party, it would have done much better in the elections.

He also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for saying that the Congress and Samajwadi Party should have fought the elections together when it was the Congress that  wanted to go it alone.

Giving further details, Amar Singh said that top industrialists will be involved in decision-making process and the party will include business representatives in all government committees.
