Indian pacer S Sreesanth and two of his Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan have been arrested by the Delhi police on the charges of spot fixing in the ongoing Indian Premier League.
There has been a flurry of reactions from cricket enthusiasts and former cricketers over this new controversy.

Sunil Gavaskar, former India cricket team captain: Completely shocked by allegations of spot-fixing against the three Rajasthan Royals' players including S Sreesanth. IPL rewards players handsomely and to find that some players are still tempted is shocking. Wait though till the whole things is over because you are innocent till you are proven guilty.
Dean Jones, former Australian cricketer: This is pure greed. How much (more) money does the cricketers want? Where does this money go, surely not in their banks.
Kirti Azad, former Indian off-spinner and BJP Parliamentarian: This was waiting to happen and will happen again. Mere one-two year bans mean nothing. Ban the offenders for life.
Farookh Engineer, former Indian cricketer: The greed of a handful of players should not spoil BCCI's image. The world is in awe of IPL and it should remain like this.
