New Delhi:
Ahead of the visit of the newly appointed Sri Lankan foreign minister Mangala Samaraweera, the country released 15 Indian fishermen on Friday.
The Indian government welcomed the move and is making arrangements for their early return.
Mr Samaraweera will arrive in Delhi today and will hold discussions with his counterpart Sushma Swaraj on January 18.
It will be the first high-level meet between India and Sri Lanka after the installation of the new government in the island nation.
