Srinagar:
Despite heightened tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the Uri terror attack, the peace bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, known as 'Karvan-e-Aman', was operated today.
Escorted by a heavy convoy of security forces, the scheduled run of the peace bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad was operated.
The State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC)-owned bus headed for Muzaffarabad was in fact the only civilian vehicle to be allowed to pass through Uri town after Sunday's terror attack in which 17 soldiers were martyred and 30 others injured.
