Srinagar:
The Special Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), PPS Sidhu, has told NDTV that the BSF men allegedly involved in the killing of Zahid Farooq in Srinagar will be court-martialed.
A local court has allowed the forces plea and transferred the case to General BSF Court.
"I just read the report in the paper yesterday, so it will be transferred to the court and the court will take up the issue. There will be a court martial," Sidhu said.
BSF Commandant RK Birdi and his sub-ordinate Lakhwinder Kumar are accused of killing 16-year-old Zahid Farooq in an unprovoked firing near the teenager's residence at Nishat on the outskirts of Srinagar in February.
