St Stephen's cut-off out; Eco (Hons) most in demand
New Delhi:

Economics (Hons) seems to be the favourite undergraduate programme among students aspiring to get admission in the prestigious St Stephen's College, which announced its first cut-off for the admissions on Wednesday.

The cut-off for the admissions to the most-sought after programme is 97 per cent for the students who have studied commerce in their 10+2 while it is 95.75 per cent and 95 per cent for students from science and humanities respectively.

The cut-off is determined on the basis of the percentage of marks secured by the students in the best of four subjects including one language paper, the college said in a statement.

The second most-sought-after programme in the college is, predictably, English (Hons). Cut-off for this subject is 96 per cent for science students and 97 per cent for those from commerce and 92.5 per cent for humanities students.

Besides, to get admission in this programme, the general category students will be required to have secured 80 per cent in Elective English or 90 per cent in Core English.

For History (Hons), the cut-offs are 95 per cent for students from science stream, 97 per cent for commerce and 91 per cent for students of humanities.

Students seeking to pursue BA programmes are required to have 94 per cent in science stream or 96 per cent in commerce and 88 per cent in humanities.
