There is more bad news from another Army recruitment camp, one person was killed and three injured in firing by the Army at a recruitment camp in Chandauli in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
There was trouble at the recruitment camp when some candidates alleged that a few of them were being favoured.
This led to a stampede and UP police say the army fired at crowd.
"As per the information that we have received so far one person has been confirmed dead. The Chief Minister has requested the Centre and the Defence Ministry that whenever recruitments take place in Uttar Pradesh the local government should be informed and things should be coordinated with them in order to avoid a repetition of what happened today," said Shashank Shekhar Singh, Cabinet Secretary, UP.
Meanwhile, Mayawati government has ordered magisterial inquiry into the incident.
