Kolkata:
Students affiliated to CPI-M and Trinamool Congress today clashed in south Kolkata which left one dead and nine injured.
The clash took place when a Student Federation of India procession reached at a place where a meeting of the Trinamool Congress Chatra Parishad was taking place and altercations followed, police said.
Both the groups clashed near the Asutosh College using sticks and brickbats.
Later SFI members marched to the Hazra crossing and tried to proceed towards Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat residence nearby, but were stopped, police said.
