Sunanda Pushkar Case: Shashi Tharoor Refuses To Comment Till Probe Is Over
Shashi Tharoor's remarks came a day after Sunanda Pushkar's death case reached a new stage with the FBI endorsing the AIIMS report of poisoning as the cause.
New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor today steered clear of making any comment on the latest developments in the case of the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

"I've taken the same position for 2 years: no comments until Police have concluded their investigations. Won't indulge media TRPs," the former Union minister said on Twitter.

His remarks came a day after Ms Sunanda Pushkar's death case reached a new stage with the FBI endorsing the AIIMS report of poisoning as the cause, and also saying that a "dangerous chemical" was present in her body that may have killed her.

Congress has already accused the BJP government of pursuing vendetta politics to hound Mr Tharoor and other party leaders through a series of "innuendos, insinuations and half-baked truths" in connection with the incident.

The AICC has been insisting that Mr Tharoor is not an accused in the case nor named in the FIR and has fully cooperated with the investigating agencies.

Ms Pushkar died in mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Delhi on January 17, 2014. The police is now investigating whether her death was a suicide or murder.
