The earthquake that rattled north India early afternoon on Monday had its effect on the Supreme Court where a bench hearing one of the coal block-allocation scam-related matters adjourned the hearing as soon as the tremors were felt in the court room.
The Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice Madan B Lokur, adjourned the hearing till 3 pm after the tremors were felt in the court room.
The lawyers, including Senior Counsel Gopal Subramanian, Special Public Prosecutor in coal block allocation scam cases' trial RS Cheema and activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan, had to leave the court room.
