The Supreme Court today ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case.
Prajapati's mother Narmada Bai had approached the Supreme Court for a CBI probe.
Tulsiram Prajapati, the sole witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh staged shootout case, was killed by Gujarat Police on December 28, 2006.
The CBI too had earlier told the Supreme Court that the killings of Sheikh and Prajapti were inter-linked and the investigation into the Prajapati case too should be handed over to it.
