New Delhi: The Supreme Court has suspended the death penalty given to 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab. This, is, however a technicality that is followed when the Supreme Court receives an appeal against a death sentence.
Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive during the terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008, was sentenced to death by the Bombay High Court on February 21 this year. He had appealed against that sentence to the Supreme Court.
The High Court had found Kasab guilty of waging war against India.
