Supreme Court to deliver verdict on Reddy brothers

Bangalore: The Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on the Reddy brothers mining case today. The apex court appointed Survey of India panel conducted a detailed mapping of three mines of Reddy brothers and submitted its report saying mining should not be allowed till fresh demarcation of Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border is complete.

Karnataka Minister G.Janardhan Reddy's company Obulapuram Mining has argued that the demarcation of boundary between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would take a long time. So mining activities should be allowed in areas where there is no dispute.

Supreme Court had earlier stopped mining activities in six mines over allegations of encroachment by the Reddy Brothers mines.
