New Delhi: The Supreme Court committee monitoring the state of night shelters for poor in winter has criticised the states for not doing enough to protect the homeless. The committee's report will be taken up by the top court today. The court will examine the report and pass further orders.
The Supreme Court was unhappy as most of the north Indian states where winter is severe did not do much to protect the homeless.
The court had directed the Commissioner to inspect the states and submit a report to the court. The court will today examine the report and pass further orders.
