New Delhi:
Sources have told NDTV that the CBI which raided the offices and homes of Commonwealth Games boss Suresh Kalmadi in three cities on Friday, have apparently found a letter that attempts to blackmail Kalmadi.
The letter allegedly tells Kalmadi to pay Rs 4 crore or be exposed. Sources in the investigating agency said authenticity of the letter is being verified.
The sleuths are trying to verify contents of the unsigned letter found from the residence of Kalmadi and are likely to put it through a series of forensic tests, official sources said.
The CBI carried out the raids on Kalmadi in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities in the awarding the contract in the Queens Baton's relay event.
