New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement in Parliament on December 14 on the recent developments in India-Pakistan relations.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy today informed the Lok Sabha that Ms Swaraj is ready and would make a statement on Monday (December 14).
The statement would be made in the Rajya Sabha at 11 am and in the Lok Sabha at 2 pm on Monday, Mr Rudy said.
Trinamool Congress leader Saugata Roy said it would be late by then to make the statement.
Yesterday, the government had said that Ms Swaraj would make a statement today.
On Wednesday, during the visit of Ms Swaraj to Pakistan, the two countries agreed to start a comprehensive bilateral dialogue. Ms Swaraj had also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Islamabad next year to attend the SAARC summit.
