Kokrajhar, Assam: A group of suspected rebels from the outlawed underground outfit National Democratic Front of Bodoland today attacked a village in Anandabazar in Lower Assam killing three and injuring one.
Police sources say the three killed were of the same family.
A group of unidentified extremists entered the house of the family near Ananda Bazar area and fired randomly, killing the three on the spot, the sources said.
The assailants fled after committing the crime, they said.
An infant received bullet injuries and was admitted to hospital.
Kokrajar had been the scene of large-scale ethnic violence between Bodos and non-Bodos two years ago.
