Lucknow: According to the health department officials, total 652 patients were screened of which 190 were found positive and maximum 144 patients have been detected in Lucknow. Total 15 districts of the state have been affected with the disease, they said.
Altogether, three persons including Swatantra Saksena, working in Merchant Navy; a retired Army officer and the wife of a retired jawan have succumbed to the virus in Lucknow.
Besides these, one death each was witnessed in Kanpur, Saharanur and Bareilly districts.
The Centre had yesterday assured Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav all assistance to deal with the disease.
Uttar Pradesh today reported 25 fresh cases of swine flu, taking the number of those infected with the H1N1 influenza to 190 in the state.
Chief Medical Officer of Lucknow SNS Yadav said that 24 new cases have been detected in the state capital in the last 24 hours.
One case of swine flu was detected in Bareilly yesterday, he said.
