Doctors have said that there is no reason to panic even though the first case of swine flu has been recorded in Delhi.
Early diagnosis is very important if you have flu like symptoms and been in close proximity with someone whose travelled from an infected country get checked immediately. HIN1 is easily treatable with Tamiflu.
Earlier, a Health Ministry statement had confirmed one case in Delhi and the other as suspected case.
The confirmed case is that of a 35-year-old who reached Delhi from New York on the June 2. The man is on home quarantine and his contacts have been provided with medicine.
The Health Ministry says the suspected case of swine flu has been isolated in a hospital in Delhi. This has taken the total number of affected people to 10.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is battling the country's highest number of swine flu cases - seven in all. Four of them had travelled on the same British Airways flight from London to Hyderabad that carried 260 people onboard on May 31.
Health offcials say one reason why Andhra Pradesh is reporting the maximum cases is possibly because there are more number of software professionals from here in countries like the US.
Now the task is to try and limit the import of the infection into the country by seeking exit point screening in the affected countries.
