Talwars challenge the order that accused them of murder

Talwars challenge the order that accused them of murder
New Delhi: Aarushi's parents, Nupur and Rajesh Talwar, have challenged the order that accused them of killing their daughter Aarushi.

Two weeks after they were accused by a Ghaziabad court of murdering their daughter, Aarushi Talwar's parents have appealed against that decision in the Allahabad High Court.

On the 9th of this month, a CBI court charged Nupur and Rajesh Talwar with killing the 13-year-old in their Noida home in May 2008. They were also accused of criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence.

The CBI court rejected the CBI's request for permission to end its investigation into the murders of Aarushi and her family's domestic help, Hemraj, who was discovered dead on the Talwars' terrace hours after Aarushi was found in her bed with her throat slit.

The CBI said that while it suspected Rajesh Talwar of killing both Aarushi and Hemraj, it did not have enough evidence against him.

The court, however, said that on the basis of the CBI's closure report, there was enough circumstantial evidence against the Talwars to necessitate a trial.

Rajesh Talwar was arrested a week after the double murder but was released two months later with the CBI admitting that it did not have evidence against him.
