Kanchipuram:
A biologist and a driver, both employees of the Vandalur zoo here, were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a woman in the zoo three days ago.
Police said they were on the lookout for an autorickshaw driver, who is also suspected to have raped the woman.
The 32-year-old woman filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday, stating that she had boarded an autorickshaw on October 18 night to go to Tambaram (near Chennai) for some work, but was taken to the zoo.
The duo under the guise of policemen stopped the vehicle, saying it was a routine check, took her inside the zoo and raped her, she said.
The two were produced before the judicial magistrate court at Chengalpattu near Kanchipuram on Wednesday and remanded to custody, police said.
