Chennai:
The manager and a local associate of two businessmen from Tamil Nadu, whose bodies were found in suitcases in a farmland in Fiji capital of Suva, were arrested for allegedly murdering them, family sources said on Monday.
Ramakrishnan (41) of Chennai and his business partner Rajamanikam (31) from Thirutharipundi, dealers in iron scrap, had gone missing in Fiji since December 14 with their families remaining clueless about their whereabouts.
"Ravi, the manager, have confessed to Fiji police that he and his local associate Nadhen used iron rods to kill them and later cut the bodies into pieces and packed them in suitcases," Ramakrishnan's uncle, Baladhandayuthapani, a former Deputy Commissioner of Police said.
Ravi, a permanent Fiji resident, was appointed by the victims two years ago and was living with his employers in the same apartment.
