Tamil Nadu fishermen allege attack by Sri Lankan Navy

Rameswaram: Fishermen from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu were injured when they were attacked allegedly by Sri Lankan Naval personnel. The fishermen say that the incident took place while they were fishing between Dhanuskodi and Katchativu islands, said the police.

The fishermen also told the police that the Naval personnel had taken away their catch, global positioning system and fishing nets from their boats, numbering about 25.
