Guwahati:
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said the National Herald case, in which Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had to appear in a court, is an outcome of "political vendetta".
"It is a case of political vendetta. The Companies Act said that no one will get a single penny. Then where is the question of misappropriation of money?" Mr Gogoi told reporters in Guwahati.
The senior Congress leader also questioned the reason of transfer ED director Rajan S Katoch.
"Earlier the Enforcement Directorate had said there was no case. Then the government changed it. Why did they change it?" he added.
