Panaji, Goa:
Tehelka's founder editor Tarun Tejpal, who is in jail in a rape case, today sought permission from a court in Panaji to meet his ailing mother at his North Goa residence.
Tejpal's application before the Additional Sessions Court said that doctors have sent her home, since no more life saving treatment could improve her health condition.
Tejpal has claimed that his mother has been suffering from brain tumour and is in the last stages of her life.
The former journalist owns a house at Moira village in North Goa, where his mother is currently living, after she was discharged from hospital.
This is the second application moved by Tejpal requesting for a meeting with his mother. Earlier, the court had permitted him to meet her on March 13.
