Bhopal: A teacher at a government school in Madhya Pradesh has been suspended after forcing his female students to dance for him in his classroom. Mahesh Malviya, who teaches in a village in the Beetul district, also allegedly caned some of the girls whose performance he did not find satisfactory.
Parents whose children witnessed this complained to local officials on January 24, after which he was suspended. Mr Malviya has also been accused by some children of sending a student to bring him a bottle of alcohol from a nearby shop.
The accused teacher says he is being falsely implicated. " The lady teacher and the villagers are accusing me so that I quit from the job," Mr Malviya said.
In 2009, Mr Malviya was accused of rape but it's not clear if a police case was registered against him. He was suspended and had been reinstated a few months ago.
