Teacher Gang-Raped At Gunpoint Near Delhi-Lucknow Highway In Bareilly

Woman says while she was on her way to school, a car stopped and 2 men forcibly pulled her inside.

Lucknow: A teacher was abducted and allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint near National Highway 24 in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly on Tuesday.

The incident comes just three days after a woman and her daughter were dragged out of their car and gang-raped in Bulandshahr, 200 km from Bareilly.

The woman says while she was on her way to school, a car stopped near her and two men forcibly pulled her inside.

They raped her in the moving car and dumped her later in a field adjacent to the highway, she says.

The accused also filmed the rape and threatened to post it on social media sites if she told anyone about the incident.

"We are investigating the matter and hope to arrest the culprits soon," said police officer.

In an immediate damage control exercise, Inspector of CB Ganj police station Rajesh Singh was suspended by Inspector General (Bareily zone) Vijay Singh Meena, police said.
