After the Rajya Sabha session ended sine die without a vote on the Lokpal Bill on Thursday, Team Anna attacked the government on its failure to get the Lokpal bill passed and said that it had showed that nobody can trust the UPA.
"We cannot trust this government. By the evening it was very clear that government was not ready to face vote. The trust deficit is huge," Team Anna member Kiran Bedi said.
"It was the government's onus to ensure that the Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha. They failed to do their homework," she added.
Team Anna had been calling the government draft of the Bill 'toothless' and Ms Bedi had earlier said that she would prefer non-passing of the bill as of now as it will save CBI from further dilution. (With IANS inputs)
