Panchkula:
Abha Rathore, wife and counsel for former Haryana DGP, SPS Rathore is likely to move session court today against the CBI verdict which held Rathore guilty of molesting Ruchika and awarded him a 6 month jail sentence.
Two fresh complaints have been filed against Rathore. One for abetting Ruchika's suicide though, that FIR is yet to be filed. Rathore got interim bail till January 7 in connection with two FIRs against him. But he can be arrested once the police lodge a fresh FIR - that of abetment to suicide.
The Girhotras had made allegations of attempt to murder, wrongful confinement, forgery and criminal conspiracy against Rathore, but in the court, Abha Rathore will counter these charges section-wise.
Rathore was convicted 19 years after he molested Ruchika to six months in prison - a verdict that outraged India. The government is now working with Ruchika's family to examine whether Rathore can be charged with abetment of suicide, instead of molestation.
