Hazaribagh:
Two people have been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl for three days at a bungalow in Hazaribagh town.
The accused, along with two more men, allegedly kidnapped the 11th class student on August 26 near her house in the town. They took her by car to the bungalow on the Kanhari Hill road and allegedly gang-raped her for three days, Superintendent of Police Manoj Kaushik told reporters.
Two accused, Sonu Kumar and Ritesh Kumar, were arrested yesterday while the main accused Dhanu Kumar and Anurag Basu alias Anurag Paswan, were absconding, he added.
He added that Dhanu was on bail after being in jail in connection with five cases, including alleged looting of an SBI ATM.
The father of the victim, who runs a dairy farm, lodged a missing report on August 27 with the police before she returned home the next night. He lodged an FIR yesterday after the girl narrated her woes.
A team of lady doctors was constituted for medical examination of the girl, the police officer said.
The girl's statement was recorded under section 164 of the IPC in the court of judicial magistrate while the arrested duo was sent to 14 days judicial remand.
