Patna: Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav on Friday dismissed reports of Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti heading the party in the state, saying that such reports "lack content".

In reply to a question, Tejaswi Yadav, younger brother of Ms Bharti, told reporters that he had seen the reports concerning her in social media and some newspapers.

Dismissing the reports he said "those lacked content". The election of the stare RJD President is fixed for January 2, 2016.

The possibility of Ms Bharti becoming the party head has been triggered by senior RJD legislator and former minister Illiyas Hussain who last week made a comment in her favour.

Mr Hussain, who was elected from Dehri-On-Sone in Rohtas district, had recently talked about the chance of Lalu Prasad's eldest daughter heading the state unit to infuse young blood in the party.
