Telangana supporters disrupt Sibal meeting

Hyderabad: Students of Hyderabad Central University on Saturday tried to disrupt the meeting of the Vice Chancellors of all the central universities, chaired by the Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal in Hyderabad.

Shouting slogans against the Congress party, the students demanded the formation of a separate Telangana state. However, police prevented them from entering into the Tagore International House where the meeting was taking place.

The police and the university officials managed to take the Union Minister out of the meeting hall safely. Additional forces were called in to control the situation.
