Guwahati: At least 10 people were injured when militants triggered two blasts in Assam's Kamrup district on Monday evening, a day ahead of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to the state, police said.
The blasts took place at the crowded Gasbari daily market near Baihata Chariali.
Residents told police two motorcycle-riding youth lobbed two grenades at the market.
"A preliminary investigation indicated they were grenade blasts. We are yet to ascertain which militant outfit was involved," police said.
All the injured were taken to a hospital.
