Bhubaneswar: The situation at the proposed Posco site in Orissa is extremely volatile.
It's likely that the government will try to enter Dhinkia village, the stronghold of the anti-Posco agitators, on Tuesday for an exercise being described as a survey of land and homes that will need evacuation for the South Korean steel plant and port project in the area.
Local people not allowing the survey teams and police forces into their territory could mean a violent confrontation is in the offing.
Though South Korean steel major Posco signed an MoU with Orissa government way back in June, 2005 for setting up a steel plant, not an inch of land could be acquired for the purpose due to stiff resistance from locals.
