Mumbai:
Terror groups are suspected to have positioned themselves in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The government has reportedly received specific intelligence alerts that warn of this.
Both cities have been put on high alert.
Mumbai Police sources say that is a routine alert, and security has been increased around churches, and consulates of European countries and USA. Security has also been beefed up at vital installations including the Taj and Trident hotels.
They add that the alert states an explosive-laden car may be parked near police headquarters. The sources also say no parking will be allowed in front of Mumbai Police headquarters.
More details are awaited.
