Kolkata: Expressing concern over growing terror acts across the globe, Union Minister and BJP leader Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today asserted terrorism shouldn't be linked to any particular religion.
Addressing an event in Kolkata, the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries also heaped praises on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and assured the central government's assistance for the development of the state.
"The way incidents of terror are occurring across the world, it's really a matter of concern. But terrorism should not be linked to any religion or race. If it was so, then so many children would not have been killed in a terror attack in Pakistan," she said.
"Known for her Mamata (affection), a mother can remain hungry to feed her child. I am sure, the person who has the name Mamata and is a woman, is endeavoring for the progress and development of the state. We will work together in her endeavor to develop Bengal," she said.
"I feel that such statements are not good for the country," she said.
